February started the same way that January ended...with lots of rain. The rainy season officially ended at the end of November but I'm not buying it! We saw more rain in the last half of January than any other month of the year! But my prayers were answered and it seems to be mostly done. I really wanted to see the sun, especially for our special visitors...Sheryn and Larissa arrived on the 3rd...happy, happy day!
We hit the road early on the third to pick them up at the airport in Belize City. The plane didn't arrive until 4pm but we had some running around to do before hand. We bought tiles for the kitchen countertop. That will be the next big project for sometime between company. Then we stopped to get some groceries and saw the prime minister of Belize. He was buying a sub....tuna. It really is a small country. It was just a matter of time and we were bound to run into Prime Minister Barrow somewhere! I wish that I had my camera. Oh well!
Then it was off to the airport to get Sheryn and Larissa. We watched them get off the plane from the waving gallery and then we went downstairs to wait...and wait....and wait! I'm pretty sure that they were the very last people out of Immigration. But I knew it was them when I saw the front of the porter's trolley with a big box of duty free booze on it! That precious little girl of ours stopped at Duty Free and loaded up for us! We should be good for Baileys and tequila for a while. She's such a good kid!

Although, I'm not sure that I'm allowed to call her a kid anymore. Our baby girl turned 21 on February 1st. It was a few days late but we had a little birthday party for her. Cake, balloons, party hats and presents...all the essentials! And of course, people who love her!
Happy Birthday, Larissa!
