We are in that quiet lull between guests. We took Mom to the bus in Belize City a couple of days ago. She caught the overnight bus to Cancun. Now she's spending a couple of weeks with Auntie Betty and I have no doubt that they will have a blast. Then she's back to the Great White North (not really!) until next year.
So, we've spent the last few days puttering around the house and the yard. Working to get ahead on the chores so we can ignore things for the next while. Tonight Darryl and Jennifer Low will be here. They are longtime friends from Fort Nelson. I was actually thinking about it the other day. I've known Darryl since high school. Then I started doing some math. I graduated thirty (30...30...30) years ago!!!! Yikes. That's a little hard to take. So, I shall put it out of my mind and never think of it again.

Milo (my doggie) is doing better. He was beat up last week by a neighbour's dog. Three trips to the vet, a bunch of shots, and thirteen stitches later he is finally on the mend. He looks like hell with his shaved patches and stitches but his tail is wagging again and he seems to have most of his energy back. A huge relief. I'm fairly attached to the little guy!
