Yesterday was dart day at Copper Bank. That's a village about ten miles out of Corozal. We met a couple from Kamloops. In order to get to Copper Bank you have to take a small, hand pulled ferry across the river. We pulled on the ferry and another pickup drove on behind...with BC licence plates! Of course, we started talking. They are here for three months building a house and they plan to move here full time in a couple of years. Just weird, that of all the trucks in Belize, two with BC plates ended up on the little ferry! Small world.
Today was our new friend Paul's birthday. So, a few people got together for a potluck lunch and ... more darts! Games are a big thing here. It's a good reason for people to visit. Looks like I'm going to have to learn poker, too!
Good friends, Judi and Duane will be here in just over a week. Very excited! We will be meeting them on Ambergris Caye for a week and then we will all head back here. We'll pick up the truck and tour all over the place. Can hardly wait!
