June 1st marks the official start of the hurricane season in the Caribbean and the experts are predicting a busier than usual storm year. We are located well inland of the ocean so we don't have to worry about the massive damage that can be caused by a hurricane at the coast. But it certainly doesn't make us immune. All over this end of the country we can still see damage from Hurricane Richard that blasted through last November. The weather here is pretty amazing! When Larissa, Squid and Cheri-Lee were here we had a thunder storm that scared me half to death! It felt like the lightening was 20' away! Not kidding! And the thunder!!!
Apparently, we are now in the rainy season and we've had rain on three of the last four nights. But it's sunny and bright all day. So far not too hard to take. But I suspect that Mother Nature has lots more in store for this Northern girl!
