Hot...hot...so hot! It has been so hot the last couple of days. The temperature has creeped just over 90F and the humidity is up. Doesn't seem like a big change by the numbers but it feels so hot! Yesterday was officially declared (by me and Adam) to be 'NO PANTS DAY'. And that may become NO PANTS WEEK! I think that it will be better for everyone when we have our own 11 acres of property! Right now, I'm not sure how the neighbours feel about us celebrating NO PANTS DAY.
We packaged up a few more things today to get ready for the big move to San Ignacio, Cayo. Only four more days. Actually feeling pretty excited about it. It feels likes it's time to hit the road again and maybe this time we will be heading to our new home. No real updates on the house but everyone assures us that this is a normal amount of time and the process is moving along fine.
Here is a map of Belize to give you an idea of what we are doing. We've spent the last three months in Corozal, in the northern part of the country. We are about two miles from the Mexico border. San Ignacio is south and west. It is about ten miles from the Guatamala border. The property that we are buying is right on the edge of the Maya Mountains. Our land is high and the views are spectacular. May is the month for thunderstorms in the mountains so we are looking forward to many evenings on the deck watching the storms build.
