Happy Easter everyone! It's a perfect day-before Easter here in Belize. About 30C and sunny with a nice breeze. I spent the morning in the garden and laundry is on the line. All 'round paradise!
I have a lot of blog catching up to do. I keep looking at the screen wondering where to begin! My brother, Doug, and my sister-in-law, Zinnia, and their kids went back home to Vancouver a few days ago. We had them here for ten days. It was such a treat to spend some really good time with my nephews, Parker and Zack. Parker is 13 and Zack is 9 and I have not spent near enough time with them over the years. So this was a really great opportunity.

So, I'll have to go back to March 18th when I picked everyone up at the airport in Belize City. Adam stayed home for this trip. The truck only seats five. We could have gone true Belizean style and put someone in the back but we decided to ease them into that kind of thinking! Many years of seatbelt and automotive safety training don't just evaporate! They arrived on a morning flight so it was really nice for me...no driving in the dark. Driving here at night can feel pretty hazardous. Much better when you can see what's coming at you!
Day one was pretty quiet. After all, they travelled all night to get here. Some pool time and some nap time was all that we had on the agenda. A day of rest was much needed after such a long trip. Although, that didn't stop Zack from hitting the pool pretty much as soon as he got here! I've kind of forgotten how much energy a nine year old can have!
