That title is for my somewhat older Canadian friends. I'm trying to get my Canadian back on so I thought a little Bob n' Doug would be a good place to start! Big day tomorrow. Hopping on an airplane (and then another airplane) and heading back to Canada for a visit. We left the country in the first week of December, 2010. That's a year and a half ago! This is my first time back. Feels kind of weird. I'm worried that somehow I will stand out and everyone will question what I am doing there...like I don't belong anymore! Crazy!
And then of course, there is the weather thing. It's about 10C in Red Deer and rainy. It's about 38C here and sunny everyday! I'll have a little adjusting to do. But honestly, it will probably be kind of nice. That's why I picked the month of May to be away from here. It can be brutally hot. The farmers are burning their fields to prepare for planting and the rain is several weeks away. The smoke and heat don't make for a great month. And the pool still isn't finished so we don't have that escape...yet!
My time in Canada will pretty much just be in Red Deer. I'm going to hang out with Larissa. She has a few projects lined up to do in her new house that should keep me busy. When we left Fort Nelson, neither Adam or I could bear to part with our tools so we put them in storage with Randy in Lillooet. Now that Larissa is a home owner, we had Randy ship her the tools. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't just about as excited to see the tools as I am to see Larissa! Come to Mommy, Makita 10" sliding compound mitre saw! It will be a beautiful reunion!

It's also been a busy week here. Tomorrow is my birthday so Adam planned a 'semi-surprise' party for me. He invited friends, Rick and Linda from Progresso, to stay with us for a couple of days. Then we had Peggy and Ed and Filipe and family over for an eat-fest yesterday. It was great! We ate and drank and ate and drank! So much fun! It was such a treat to shut out all the pool and landscaping construction and have fun with friends for a whole day.
Thank you everyone!
