Peggy, Ed (in the chair) and me around the fire.
A couple of nights ago we were invited to the neighbours for a wiener roast. It was a lot of fun. Beautiful sunset and great company. Seemed like something was missing though....hmmmm. Oh, millions of mosquitoes!!! So nice to be outside and hardly see a bug! And we're lucky to have such good people next door. Ed and Peggy are from Florida recently. But they are originally from Manitoba and Alberta.
We were trying for a view of the full moon and the stars but at the last minute the clouds moved in and we missed out. Oh well, it was a great sunset.

Been working on the yard a lot. Now is the time to be planting because we are getting rain. It will give everything a chance to take root and grow like crazy. We've planted a hedge along the fence line. I really want a very lush and tropical yard. The house is sort of a blank canvas so I'm having a great time 'painting' in all the colours! I've also created a number of flower beds in different areas of the yard. I have a vision.....
I'll post pictures again in a couple of months. Should be able to see some real growth. I love this 12 month growing season! On that note, we hear that the trees in Fort Nelson are already showing their yellow!
