Looking west towards Guatemala.
Had a fun day yesterday with the neighbours. Peggy and Ed are from Florida most recently but they are Canadians at heart. Seems to be lots of us here. They've been here about five years so they are a great resource for us. We went up to their place for brunch at 11am and made it home at 7pm! Brunch turned into dinner in town and then dessert at a wonderful little bakery...Sweet Ting. Amazing cakes and sweets. Adam had some carrot cake that I dreamt about last night! I think we will be visiting there again soon! There are so many little gems hidden in San Ignacio. We'll just have to explore more! Eating out here is very cheap and usually very good.

Elena (a neighbouring town), is the major population centre in western Belize. At a first look it's not terribly appealing but once you dig in there is a charm. Walking is the best way to see and find things. The streets are tight and narrow. Makes our truck seem huge! As we spend more time here I'm sure that we'll discover all sorts of special places.
